Jović Meets with Sri Lanka’s Deputy Foreign Minister

The State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Damjan Jović met today with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka Arun Hemachandra.

State Secretary Jović expressed great satisfaction with the participation of the Sri Lankan delegation in the High-Level Commemorative Meeting marking the 65th anniversary of the First Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement in Belgrade.

The talks focused in particular on further strengthening cooperation in areas of common interest.

In the context of intensifying political dialogue between the two countries, interest was expressed in holding bilateral political consultations in the coming period.

Both sides expressed hope that Sri Lanka would participate in the Specialised Expo 2027 in Belgrade, which will provide a good opportunity for high- and highest-level visits.
