Jović Meets with Indonesia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs

The State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Damjan Jović met today in Belgrade with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Muhammad Anis Matta, who is visiting Serbia to participate in the High-Level Commemorative Meeting organized to mark the 65th anniversary of the First Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement.

During the meeting, the traditionally friendly relations between Serbia and Indonesia, based on mutual respect, understanding and the longstanding ties between the two countries, were reaffirmed.

The interlocutors expressed their mutual readiness to further strengthen bilateral relations and intensify political dialogue, as well as to enhance cooperation in areas of common interest.

Particular attention was devoted to opportunities for enhancing economic cooperation, with both sides noting that there is considerable scope for further progress in this area.

State Secretary Jović thanked Indonesia for its principled support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia.

He also expressed his gratitude for the confirmation of the Republic of Indonesia’s participation in the Specialized Expo 2027 in Belgrade, emphasizing that this event would provide an excellent opportunity for Indonesia to showcase its country, culture and economic potential to the wider international public.
