Serbia's Vucic Arrives in Beijing for Five-Day State Visit

(MENAFN) Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic touched down in Beijing on Sunday, embarking on a five-day state visit to China that marks his first such trip to the country, state news agency Xinhua reported.

The visit, set to run through May 28, is headlined by scheduled talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang, with both sides expected to conduct a broad review of bilateral relations and exchange views on pressing international matters.

The diplomatic engagement arrives as economic ties between the two nations have deepened considerably. Two-way trade between China and Serbia has climbed to approximately $9.37 billion, cementing Beijing's position as Belgrade's second-largest trading partner — a milestone that underscores the growing strategic and commercial weight of the relationship between the two countries.
